Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Buy Local Toowoomba, we are committed to supporting our local business community. We want you to feel confident in your investment in our platform. This policy outlines our procedures for refunds and cancellations in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.


1. 7-Day “Local Growth” Guarantee

We offer a 7-day satisfaction guarantee for all new “Gold” and “Platinum” tier subscriptions.

  • If you are not satisfied with the features of your paid listing within the first 7 days of your initial signup, you may request a full refund of your first month’s fee.

  • To request a refund, please contact us at [email protected] with your business name and the reason for your request.

2. Subscription Cancellations

You are in full control of your subscription.

  • Self-Service: You may cancel your recurring subscription at any time via your Dashboard > My Account > Subscriptions.

  • Effect of Cancellation: Upon cancellation, your premium listing features will remain active until the end of your current pre-paid billing period. No further charges will be made.

  • No Partial Refunds: We do not offer pro-rata refunds for “unused” portions of a billing cycle if you choose to cancel mid-month or mid-year.

3. Change of Mind

Under Australian Consumer Law, we are not required to provide a refund for a “change of mind.” However, we understand the challenges of running a local business. If you have accidentally selected the wrong tier (e.g., Annual instead of Monthly), please contact us within 24 hours of the transaction, and we will adjust your account and refund the difference.

4. Technical Failures & Service Availability

If a technical fault on our platform prevents your paid listing from being visible to the public for more than 72 consecutive hours, and we are unable to rectify the issue, you may be eligible for a pro-rata credit or refund for the period the service was unavailable.

5. Listing Removal for Policy Violations

If a business listing is removed from our directory due to a breach of our Terms of Service (e.g., providing fraudulent information, illegal activities, or non-local operation), no refund will be issued for any remaining subscription period.

6. Chargebacks

We encourage all members to contact us directly to resolve any billing disputes. Please note that initiated “Chargebacks” via your bank or Stripe without prior communication with our support team may result in the immediate and permanent suspension of your business listing and account.
