The Grand Central Floral Parade is the marquee event of the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers. For 2026 it takes place on Saturday 19 September, starting at 10:00am and concluding at approximately 11:30am at Godsall Street Oval.
The parade departs from the corner of Herries and Hume Streets, travels along Herries Street, turns right into Ruthven Street, right into Margaret Street, left into Hume Street, and finishes at Godsall Street Oval.
Attendance is free and there is no reserved seating, so spectators are encouraged to arrive well before the 10:00am start to secure a viewing position. A dedicated mobility viewing zone is available on Ruthven Street, opposite the Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery, on a first-come first-served basis.
Road closures are in effect throughout the CBD on the day, typically from around 5:00am until approximately 2:00pm. Plan your travel in advance as CBD parking is limited. The parade is a highlight of the 77th Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers, which runs from 18 September to 5 October 2026.
